{"id":3876,"date":"2022-04-19T18:01:53","date_gmt":"2022-04-19T18:01:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/cascademagazines.com\/?p=3876"},"modified":"2026-01-22T20:40:02","modified_gmt":"2026-01-22T20:40:02","slug":"april-5-2022-bldg-grounds-minutes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cascademagazines.com\/index.php\/2022\/04\/19\/april-5-2022-bldg-grounds-minutes\/","title":{"rendered":"April 5, 2022 Bldg &#038; Grounds Minutes"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"et_pb_section_0 et_pb_section et_section_regular et_block_section\"><div class=\"et_pb_row_0 et_pb_row et_block_row\"><div class=\"et_pb_column_0 et_pb_column et_pb_column_4_4 et-last-child et_block_column et_pb_css_mix_blend_mode_passthrough\"><div class=\"et_pb_text_0 et_pb_text et_pb_bg_layout_light et_pb_module et_block_module\"><div class=\"et_pb_text_inner\"><p>BUILDING &amp; GROUNDS MINUTES<\/p>\n<p>4-5-22<\/p>\n<p>PRESENT:\u00a0 Ben Manning, Brad Gasper, Daryl Ramlow, Dave Smolinski, Jan Olson, Lou Zwicky, Rick Pierre<\/p>\n<p>Meeting opened at 3pm by Ben.\u00a0 Jan announced we had two interested ladies in our B&amp;G Team with Time and Talent surveys.\u00a0 With this Sharon Doyle and Mary Beth McGee will be added to our roster.\u00a0 There may be others as the surveys continue to be completed.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Routine maintenance<\/u><\/strong>:\u00a0 Brad continues to do a great job and looks for alternative and more cost effective products.\u00a0 Most recently he\u2019s found a better buy of furnace filters thru Johnson Supply, Appleton. He put a pump on the water heater and sucked out a great deal of sediment again.\u00a0 This should be done at least every 2 years.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Sanctuary Blinds<\/u><\/strong>:\u00a0 We have a generous donation and are able to move forward to replace our present blinds.\u00a0 Jan is in the process of researching 3 different vendors \u2013 Budget Blinds of Oshkosh, Tom\u2019s Blind\u2019s of Redgranite, Sew Biz of Neenah.\u00a0 Hopefully will have quotes, etc. by May meeting so we can make a decision.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Internet Upgrade to USI<\/u><\/strong>:\u00a0 It is in progress with line lying on top of ground awaiting frost to come out of the ground.\u00a0 It is coming off South Harbour and will run along the south lot line. A third line will be added for our Alarm system since our contract for that is up on 6\/10\/22.\u00a0 We are still expecting approximately $30\/month savings on this service.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Landscaping<\/u><\/strong>:\u00a0 Ben has been working with the original donator to start on the Island by getting an assessment and quote from Van Zealand.\u00a0 He will also put a notice in Newsletter re: any desired donations of trees or shrubs as memorials from members.\u00a0 Sharon and Beverly will work on flowers in the areas off the front of entryway when weather is appropriate.\u00a0 Plans are to put off any upgrades to the west and north sides at this time.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Scrap for Trap Event<\/u><\/strong>:\u00a0 Rick announced dates as May 2-7 and will be at the old Kwik Trip lot.\u00a0 Brad dismantled the old frame of the chalk boards so those can be taken over along with anything else we may want to get rid of.\u00a0 Possibility of the lettered sign and trailer going there.\u00a0 In the meantime, the group asked Jan to post it on FB Marketplace and felt perhaps someone would pay $100 for it.\u00a0 If not sold by the date of event, can still consider that just to get it out of the way.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Sign<\/u><\/strong>:\u00a0 Wayne Ludkey had said Creative is working with Town of Winneconne to get permits.\u00a0 Daryl has tried to see if existing conduit it open enough to use for electrical.\u00a0 However ice is still not out so he will continue to try as weather warms.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Garbage Service Change<\/u><\/strong>:\u00a0 Accomplished and all went well.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Spring Clean Up Date<\/u><\/strong>:\u00a0 group felt 4\/24 with 5\/1 as alternate date.\u00a0 Jan will check that with office to be sure it won\u2019t impact a church event and if key parties will be available.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Roof Inspection<\/u><\/strong> and lubricating exhaust motors:\u00a0 Brad and Rick will get together on a date as a minimum of two people need to be available.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Alarm System<\/u><\/strong>:\u00a0 Daryl asked about an upgrade so it can go on a couple Smart phones and be better monitored from anywhere.\u00a0 There is also a possibility of putting a security system on our doors with such a system.\u00a0 This was suggested by the police department years ago and we never did do it d\/t lack of funds.\u00a0 Daryl will research costs and get that to Jan over the next few months so perhaps it can be budgeted for with the next budget cycle.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Next meeting May 3<sup>rd<\/sup> at 3pm<\/u><\/strong>: a week early again as this meets Ben\u2019s working schedule.\u00a0 Meeting adjourned at 4:10 pm.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><u>ADDENDUM<\/u>:\u00a0 1.\u00a0 Portable Sign sold for $100 cash; allocated to Sign Fund<\/p>\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<li>Spring Clean-Up Date changed to May 15; alternate May 22 if need be.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Recorder, Jan Olson<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"","protected":false},"author":6,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_monsterinsights_skip_tracking":false,"_monsterinsights_sitenote_active":false,"_monsterinsights_sitenote_note":"","_monsterinsights_sitenote_category":0,"footnotes":""},"categories":[4],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-3876","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-building-and-grounds-minutes"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/cascademagazines.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/3876","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/cascademagazines.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/cascademagazines.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/cascademagazines.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/6"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/cascademagazines.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=3876"}],"version-history":[{"count":1,"href":"https:\/\/cascademagazines.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/3876\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":6713,"href":"https:\/\/cascademagazines.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/3876\/revisions\/6713"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/cascademagazines.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=3876"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/cascademagazines.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=3876"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/cascademagazines.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=3876"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
